Estimator Apprentice

Job overview

The Estimator Apprentice works onsite in Olympia, WA, with compensation of $24–$34 per hour. Puget Collision’s role focuses on planning and documenting auto collision repairs and supporting repair-shop operations. The apprentice learns repair planning and estimating while helping coordinate vehicle repairs, parts, documentation, customer communication, and quality checks. The position is intended as training for possible promotion to Estimator, considered based on performance; the usual training period is one to three years.

What you'll do

• Follow company standard operating procedures
• identify express repairs and schedule vehicles
• prepare collision repair plans with photo documentation and pre-scanning
• ensure repairs follow OE standards, insurer program choices, refinish guidelines, and ADAS requirements
• check repair quality
• source and receive parts
• maintain accurate estimates, bills, and documentation
• communicate with customers
• deliver completed vehicles and collect final payments
• maintain the CCC calendar and review portals.

Why this role

I-CAR Pro-Level 1 certification is mandatory within 90 days of start. Mitchell and CCC estimating systems are referenced. Promotion to Estimator may be considered after performance reviews on a six-month cadence.
