Derrick Hand — Workover Rig Crew

The Derrick Hand role is an onsite position in Alice, TX; compensation is not specified. The role supports a 4–5-person workover rig crew performing well-service work. The Derrick Hand performs elevated derrick work and supports rigging, tubing and rod handling, routine maintenance, and other rig functions. This work helps the crew service wells while following company and customer safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Perform elevated work on the derrick, tubing board, and rod basket, including work at heights of 50 feet or more with required fall protection
• assist with rigging up and down and well servicing
• transfer rods and tubing, operate tubing elevators, and assist with lifting and laying down tubing
• set hydraulic jacks and assist with guy wires
• report hazards, accidents, and maintenance issues
• follow safety procedures. May work floors, operate the rig, or drive the crew truck as needed.
