Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Danville, VA, and pays $25 per hour. The technician supports GPM Investments’ retail and wholesale locations by maintaining convenience store equipment and helping reduce operational downtime. The role responds to dispatched work orders, diagnoses equipment problems, performs repairs and preventive maintenance, and documents service calls. What you'll do

• Prioritize work orders to minimize store downtime
• inspect, troubleshoot, repair, or replace malfunctioning convenience store equipment
• document and close service calls in the dispatch system
• obtain parts from vehicle inventory, warehouses, or local store accounts
• contact dispatchers or supervisors when contractor assistance or ordered parts are needed
• communicate repair estimates
• verify systems after repairs or preventive maintenance
• carry an emergency cell phone and respond to dispatch calls within prescribed time frames
• complete work orders
• perform routine painting and general repairs.
