Machine Operator — Through-Hole Assembly

The Machine Operator — Through-Hole Assembly role is onsite in Carson City, NV; compensation is $20–$25 per hour. The position supports Rocket EMS’s printed circuit board assembly process. The operator hand-places and solders through-hole components, checks workmanship, and performs basic rework to help produce boards that meet customer and IPC-A-610 standards. The role coordinates with engineering, quality, and production teams and follows build documentation and handling procedures.

What you'll do

• Review build documentation, assembly drawings, engineering change orders, and customer requirements
• insert through-hole components on printed circuit boards
• solder using hand tools, wave solder, or selective solder equipment
• inspect placement and solder joints against IPC-A-610 standards
• correct defects and escalate recurring issues
• perform basic rework
• complete first-article and in-process inspection forms
• follow ESD and MSD procedures
• record production data and communicate pass-downs and quality updates.
