The Class A CDL Commercial Vehicle Operator position is onsite in York, PA, with compensation of $30–$36 per hour. The home base is York, with regular deliveries between York and Hanover facilities. Hanover Iron Works manufactures structural steel and relies on safe, professional delivery throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The driver transports steel and equipment while meeting delivery schedules and complying with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety policies. The role also includes load securement, inspections, delivery documentation, and coordination with shipping, receiving, dispatchers, and customers.

What you'll do

• Operate tractor-trailers, flatbed trailers, straight trucks, or other vehicles to haul steel and equipment
• secure loads
• load and unload materials
• coordinate deliveries and pickups
• plan routes and schedules
• maintain driver logs and safety reports
• submit freight documents
• perform vehicle inspections and minor preventive maintenance
• communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
