Recovery Advocate

Job overview

The Recovery Advocate role is onsite in West Palm Beach, FL, with pay of $20 per hour. Hanley Foundation provides individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment and recovery support for adults, including people with co-occurring disorders. The advocate supports daily client operations, coordinates client needs, and serves as a liaison between clients and clinical staff. The role contributes to a safe, supportive treatment experience through monitoring, mentoring, documentation, and participation in intake and discharge processes.

What you'll do

• Relay client observations and information to clinical staff
• supervise daily client operations
• document client services
• assist with transportation
• maintain client safety and facility security
• participate in intake and discharge
• administer drug screens
• facilitate recovery-based lectures as assigned
• protect client confidentiality
• maintain off-the-clock boundaries with no after-hours work communication.

Why this role

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in a helping profession is preferred; applicants in recovery must have one year of continuous sobriety. A valid driver’s license and MVR clearance are required.
