Spherion Mid Ohio is recruiting for a locally owned manufacturing operation producing components for custom-built products. The machinist sets up and operates a manual lathe to produce accurate components from blueprints and specifications. The role supports production quality by measuring and inspecting finished parts, adjusting machining processes, and maintaining equipment and a safe work area.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate a manual lathe
• work from blueprints, drawings, dimensions, and specifications
• select tooling
• measure work with precision instruments
• monitor cuts and adjust to maintain quality
• inspect finished components
• identify and correct machining or quality issues
• perform basic calculations
• maintain tooling, equipment, and a clean work area
• follow safety and quality procedures.
