Home Health Aide

Job overview

The Home Health Aide role is onsite in Port Allen, LA, with pay of $10.50 per hour. A First Name Basis provides in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities across its service region. The aide provides personal care, companionship, and practical support in clients’ homes while monitoring and reporting changes in well-being. Accurate documentation and following care instructions help maintain safe, respectful care for clients.

What you'll do

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting
• offer companionship and emotional support
• perform light housekeeping and meal preparation and assist with feeding as needed
• provide medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments
• monitor and report changes in client health and well-being
• maintain a clean, safe environment and use safety equipment properly
• document care
• travel to client homes and assigned visits
• complete required in-service training upon hire and annually.

Why this role
