The Registered Nurse (RN), Labor and Delivery role is an onsite, three-month contract in Winston-Salem, NC. Compensation is $59.33–$63.33 per hour. The hospital unit provides labor and delivery and women’s health services, with 21 rooms or beds and three operating rooms. The nurse provides labor and delivery care, supports patients with complex obstetric needs, and circulates in the operating room and recovers C-section patients. The role contributes to maternal-fetal care across triage, labor and delivery, and postpartum settings, with floating within Women’s Services as required.

What you'll do

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care, including inductions, IUFD management, and multiple drips
• care for preterm patients, multiple gestations, preeclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhages
• circulate in the OR and recover C-section patients
• administer and monitor epidurals and amnio infusions
• conduct triage and manage labor and delivery patients according to the stated gestational thresholds
• perform IV starts
• document and communicate using PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR
• float within Women’s Services as required.

Why this role

Requires at least two years of labor and delivery nursing experience, EPIC experience, BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications. Night schedule is 12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15, with every other weekend required; first-time travelers are accepted.
