The Personal Injury Legal Assistant role is onsite in Washington, DC, with stated pay of $25 per hour. Price Benowitz LLP’s personal injury department works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and the firm’s accounting function. The assistant provides administrative, client-service, and accounting support to help the department maintain accurate files, communicate with clients and providers, and process case-related financial matters. The position also supports scheduling and other essential departmental functions.

What you'll do

• Answer and direct incoming calls
• copy and scan documents into legal management software
• draft and send client correspondence, including letters of representation
• contact medical providers for balances
• maintain files and databases
• assist with reconciliations, deposits, and checks
• reconcile vendor statements
• monitor account details
• prepare closing statements
• check balances and process disbursements
• assist with scheduling.
