HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The HVAC Service Technician role is onsite in San Diego, CA, traveling to residential and commercial customer locations; compensation is $30–$35 per hour, with commission opportunities, spiffs, and additional earning opportunities. The role supports Bob Jenson Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing, a locally owned company serving the San Diego community for more than 45 years. The technician maintains and repairs heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, explains findings and options to customers, and supports service and customer satisfaction goals. The work contributes to reliable comfort systems through quality repairs, preventive maintenance, and clear communication.

What you'll do

• Service, maintain, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems
• diagnose electrical and mechanical issues
• perform preventive maintenance, warranty work, and end-of-life repairs
• explain system issues and repair options to customers
• travel to customer locations
• document service using an app-based field system
• participate in technical training
• and follow safety standards and applicable codes.
