The Accountant, Lease and Fleet role is hybrid in New York, NY, with office attendance three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and flexibility to work anywhere for up to four weeks per year. The expected base salary is $72,000–$90,000 per year. The role supports Lyft’s Lease Accounting team within Controllership. The accountant handles lease accounting activity, close processes, disclosures, and audit support, primarily for real estate leases. The work contributes to accurate financial reporting and scalable accounting processes while coordinating with Finance, Lease Administration, Real Estate, and other teams.

What you'll do

• Analyze new leases, modifications, and terminations using the ASC 842 checklist and record activity in Lease Accelerator
• assist with monthly and quarterly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses
• support lease footnote disclosures
• coordinate lease activity with international and third-party partners
• support external audits and SOX controls
• improve accounting processes
• participate in system implementations and special projects.

Why this role

Requires a BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA is preferred. At least two years of accounting experience and ASC 842 knowledge are desired; ERP experience is required, with Oracle and Lease Accelerator experience a plus.
