Resident Agricultural Field Service Technician

Job overview

The Resident Agricultural Field Service Technician role is onsite, working in and around the Tioga, ND area and reporting to the Minot location. Pay is $32.73–$53.03 per hour, with up to a $4.00-per-hour resident technician differential. The technician must live within 50 miles of Tioga. Butler Machinery is a family-owned company serving the agriculture industry. The technician performs field maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural equipment, supporting customers through timely service, troubleshooting, service reporting, and communication with customers and supervisors.

What you'll do

• Perform fieldwork in outlying areas, with possible overnight stays
• work from a field service truck
• handle emergency repair situations after hours as needed
• complete service reports, time cards, and parts returns
• troubleshoot diesel systems and components including electrical, hydraulics, and power train
• repair and maintain agricultural equipment
• communicate with customers and supervisors
• work with limited supervision
• travel as needed.
