Medical Assistant

What you'll do

• Greet and escort patients
• obtain histories, assess and triage patients, and record vital signs and information in the medical record
• prepare patients and exam rooms
• carry out standing orders according to written protocol
• assist providers with procedures
• clean and sterilize instruments
• administer medications and perform tests and specimen collection according to orders
• document services and results
• coordinate callbacks, referrals, testing, and follow-up appointments
• restock and clean exam rooms
• monitor supplies and medication expiration dates
• and maintain confidentiality.

Why this role

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program, Certified Medical Assistant certification, BLS certification, and two years of primary care or urgent care experience are preferred.
