Systems Design Assistant for Johnson Controls in Lynnfield, MA. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $21-$31 per hour. Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. This role provides support for all Project Engineering tasks, assisting Systems Engineers and System Designers with hardware and software engineering activities, and managing engineering spreadsheets.
What you'll do
- Support of all Project Engineering tasks.
- Provide support to Systems Engineers and System Designers in performing Hardware and Software engineering activities.
- Create, monitor and edit engineering spreadsheets.
- Review project documentation and support engineers in deciphering data.
- Prepare & maintain engineering spreadsheets relating to hardware and software deliverables.
- Support Hardware & Software Engineers in the creation of hardware and software submittals.
- Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
- Follow all safety standards.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure engineering is running efficiently.
- Provide documentation to support recommendations and solutions.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree
- Experience
- Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical information. Leadership skills. PC experience required.
