Mainframe Logical Security Engineer — Hybrid

The Mainframe Logical Security Engineer role is hybrid, with three onsite days and two work-from-home days each week. The position supports enterprise mainframe security and protection of sensitive data. The engineer designs, implements, and manages security controls across IBM z/OS environments. Through RACF administration, access management, monitoring, compliance support, incident investigation, and security integrations, the role helps protect enterprise systems and maintain applicable security requirements.

What you'll do

• Administer RACF across IBM z/OS
• create, modify, and revoke user IDs, groups, resource profiles, and access permissions
• implement least-privilege controls
• manage access for CICS, DB2, IMS, and MQ
• maintain security policies and conduct access reviews, audits, and compliance assessments
• analyze SMF records, RACF reports, and SIEM alerts
• investigate access violations and resolve authorization issues
• secure mainframe integrations
• support IAM, SSO, and MFA integrations where applicable
• support certificates, TLS/SSL, and ICSF cryptographic services
• maintain security documentation and support audits.
