Residential Counselor

The Residential Counselor is an onsite, part-time role in Bristow, VA. Pay is $23–$26 per hour. The role provides residential services to adolescents at the organization’s main campus. The counselor provides supervision, support, and guidance to youth in a residential setting, monitors their physical, behavioral, and emotional well-being, and helps maintain a safe, structured environment. The work supports residents’ development and progress toward the goals in their service plans.

What you'll do

• Oversee residents’ physical care and coordinated supervision
• support development of constructive habits and attitudes
• manage resident behavior
• assist with service-plan goals and objectives
• maintain awareness of residents and provide reports
• uphold structure and regulations
• complete required documentation
• conduct waive testing after home visits, runaways, and as needed
• attend mandated training and pursue training opportunities
• support resident-family visits and community involvement.

Why this role
