Loss Control Consultant or Senior Loss Control Consultant

Job overview

The Loss Control Consultant or Senior Loss Control Consultant role is hybrid, with field visits to member municipalities in southern Vermont, remote work from a home office, and occasional work at the VLCT office in Montpelier, VT. Compensation is $60,000–$75,000 per year at the Consultant level or $70,000–$87,000 per year at the Senior Consultant level. The role is part of the Field Risk Services Department and serves municipalities in the VLCT Property and Casualty Intermunicipal Fund. The consultant provides loss prevention, hazard remediation, occupational safety, and related services to reduce the potential for future losses. The work is predominantly in the field and is performed independently with minimal supervision, supporting member municipalities’ risk management needs.

What you'll do

• Provide on-site loss prevention consultation services to member municipalities

• visit municipalities in the southern Vermont region, with field work up to four days per week.
