Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is an onsite, full-time role in Anchorage, AK, generally scheduled Monday–Friday for 40+ hours per week. Compensation is $26–$30 per hour. The role supports Alaska Mill & Feed’s purchasing and inventory operations for feed products and supplies. The role exists to source products, maintain vendor relationships, and keep inventory aligned with demand and business needs. Purchase order management, forecasting, and invoice reconciliation support product availability and profitability across wholesale and retail departments.

What you'll do

• Research and evaluate vendors
• maintain backup suppliers
• source products and negotiate pricing and agreements
• analyze vendor information and pricing
• monitor inventory and product movement
• collaborate with wholesale and retail departments on procurement and forecasting
• maintain item information and margins
• create and track purchase orders
• reconcile invoices
• manage seasonal prebooks and forecasts.
