The Commercial Roofing Estimator role is onsite in Columbus, OH; Ohio and Indiana Roofing, part of Bruns Construction Enterprises, has served the industrial, commercial, and institutional construction industry for more than 70 years. The estimator prepares detailed project estimates and supports project managers and operations management through bidding, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities. Accurate take-offs, scope documents, and bid support help the team plan and deliver roofing projects.

What you'll do

• Prepare quantity take-offs, analyses, and labor estimates
• prepare complete and accurate scope documents
• participate in bid reviews
• offer value-engineering options for alternate roofing systems
• update contract drawings
• coordinate with the team to address project conditions and requirements
• obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals when needed
• assist staff in evaluating change orders.
