The Maintenance Technician (CVB) – Full-Time role is onsite at the South Padre Island Convention Centre in South Padre Island, TX. Compensation is $13.83 per hour. The City of South Padre Island’s convention centre hosts events and requires facility maintenance and event support. The technician maintains the facility and prepares it for events through cleaning, equipment and furniture setup, basic repairs, and inventory and vendor support. The role helps keep the venue safe, clean, and ready for changing event needs, including a flexible schedule with nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

What you'll do

• Complete assigned work on time
• facilitate vendor needs
• clean floors
• set up, break down, and change over furniture, staging, and equipment
• operate lifts and forklifts
• maintain supply and maintenance records
• communicate with HVAC representatives and maintain HVAC records
• connect vendor phone and electrical lines when requested
• check and run the fire pump monthly
• perform assigned sprinkler, electrical, plumbing, and painting repairs
• perform shipping and receiving.
