Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist role is onsite in El Segundo, CA. Pay is $23–$28 per hour, depending on experience. Behavior Frontiers provides Applied Behavior Analysis treatment for autism and other special needs; this role supports its payroll department. The specialist helps ensure accurate and timely payroll and timekeeping across a workforce spanning more than 15 states. The role processes payroll updates and corrections, responds to employee pay questions, and maintains time and attendance records and controls.

What you'll do

• Consolidate biweekly payroll files for exempt and non-exempt employees across 15 or more states
• process timesheet corrections, adjustments, late submissions, reimbursements, bonuses, and final paychecks
• cross-check payroll files
• address paycheck questions and direct deposit returns
• assist with timesheet reports and 401(k) file submissions
• maintain payroll files
• review time and attendance, follow up on timesheets, audit discrepancies, track errors, and respond to employee questions.
