Job overview
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role is onsite in Downingtown, PA, and pays $22–$26.50 per hour. Assignments are available throughout Chester County, PA school districts. CCRES partners with schools and communities to support individuals with special needs. The PCA provides individualized and small-group support to students, helping them participate in classroom activities and meet academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and personal care needs. The role implements student-specific plans and records progress in coordination with educational and behavioral health teams.
What you'll do
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with disabilities
- assist with classroom participation, behavioral interventions, personal care, and access to the educational environment in line with the student’s IEP
- implement behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction interventions
- gather daily data and maintain progress notes
- provide direct academic, social, emotional, and personal care assistance.

Why this role
Paid credentials, clearances, and TB screening are offered; the school-day schedule follows the student calendar, with approximate hours of 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. for secondary schools or 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. for elementary schools.
