Assistant Technician — Nights

The Assistant Technician role is onsite in Longview, WA, with a $20 per hour base rate plus a $2 per hour night differential. Divert’s Longview facility processes unsold food into renewable natural gas, supporting the company’s food-waste prevention and recovery mission. Reporting to plant supervisors, the technician performs preparation, cleaning, light maintenance, and operational tasks that support food analysis and recovery. The work helps keep facility processes safe and effective, from receiving and separating food waste through processing organic material.

What you'll do

• Inspect, break down, clean, and stack organic material bins
• wear required PPE
• operate assigned equipment such as sweepers, pressure washers, and HMI interfaces
• maintain a clean and safe work environment and promptly escalate concerns
• unload trucks and process food waste using a forklift
• assist with basic preventive maintenance and other operational tasks
• participate in shift handoffs, trainings, and assigned meetings.
