The Supervisor, Metrology & Inspection role is onsite in Long Beach, CA, with a stated salary range of $116,420–$160,080 per year. Divergent designs, manufactures, and assembles advanced systems for automotive, aerospace, and defense customers. The supervisor leads daily inspection and measurement operations across production and development environments, ensuring quality, compliance, and reliable measurement data. The role coordinates technicians, equipment, and inspection methods while partnering with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve consistency and throughput.

What you'll do

• Supervise inspection and metrology operations using CMMs, portable arms, laser and structured-light scanning, and conventional methods
• lead and coach technicians
• coordinate workload, staffing, and equipment
• serve as technical contact for measurement strategy and troubleshooting
• partner with engineering and production teams on inspection issues and corrective actions
• maintain quality-system compliance and accurate records
• review results and escalate risks
• support metrology technology, automation, and fixturing
• promote continuous improvement, safety, and 5S practices.
