Infant Teacher

Job overview

The Infant Teacher role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The teacher supports children aged 6 weeks to 18 months at The Learning Experience, a nationally accredited center and Colorado Shines Level 4 program. The teacher leads a safe, nurturing classroom, implements the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, and supports infants’ learning and development. The role also builds relationships with families, communicates children’s progress, and collaborates with center staff to support enrollment and engagement goals.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced classroom teachers
• manage a safe, nurturing, engaging classroom
• implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum in ways suited to each child
• communicate with parents about children’s experiences and achievements
• partner with center staff and leadership on enrollment and engagement goals
• build relationships with families and coworkers
• move, lift, and assist children up to 40 pounds.
