What you'll do

• Prepare and serve meals for residents, staff, and visitors at appropriate temperatures
• record food temperatures
• prepare special-event meals as needed
• plan meals and coordinate changes with the Food Services Director or Registered Dietitian
• order food supplies
• oversee tray-line preparation according to dietary needs
• provide shift oversight to dietary aides
• label, date, store, and rotate food using FIFO
• ensure equipment and work areas are cleaned and sanitized
• assist with hiring, orientation, and training of food service staff
• follow sanitation and safety procedures
• report hazards, equipment damage, supply issues, and resident concerns.
