What you'll do

• Transport specialized heavy equipment using tractor-trailers and escort vehicles
• assist with railroad derailment recovery
• learn to operate recovery equipment under experienced operators’ guidance
• handle chains, wire rope, rigging equipment, lifting blocks, and recovery tools
• climb on and beneath railcars and locomotives
• set up, maintain, clean, and inspect equipment
• use hand and power tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment
• perform physical work including digging, lifting, rigging, and equipment setup
• follow safety procedures. Requires an unrestricted Class A CDL, valid driver’s license, travel up to 50%, and availability for a 24/7 on-call rotation.
