The Fire Alarm Technician position is onsite in Palm Bay, FL, paying $20–$30 per hour. Wiginton Fire Systems is a fire protection contractor and employee-owned company focused on system reliability and life-safety compliance. The technician programs, commissions, installs, inspects, and services fire alarm systems to support reliable operation and compliance with NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes. The role also troubleshoots system issues, documents service work, educates customers, and provides direction to helpers and junior installers.

What you'll do

• Program and commission newly installed fire alarm systems
• install and terminate low-voltage equipment in compliance with NFPA and local codes
• conduct functional testing and verification
• inspect systems, troubleshoot deficiencies, and diagnose issues
• interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals
• educate customers on system operation and preventive maintenance
• complete inspection and service reports
• direct helpers and junior installers
• maintain a clean and safe jobsite.
