The Lead Teacher, One-Year-Old Room role is onsite in Middleton, WI, starting in mid-August. Pay is $17–$21 per hour. The teacher supports the one-year-old classroom at Middleton Early Childhood Center, a NAC-accredited and Wisconsin state-licensed center. The role exists to guide children’s daily care and learning through developmentally appropriate activities. By planning lessons, maintaining a safe and healthy classroom, guiding an assistant teacher, and partnering with families, the teacher supports children’s development and classroom continuity.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• manage day-to-day classroom activities
• guide the assistant teacher
• support daily care, routines, and learning experiences
• maintain a safe and healthy environment
• build relationships with children and families
• communicate with families to meet children’s needs and address parental concerns
• follow center policies, DCF licensing rules, and NAC standards.
