Companion Caregiver

Job overview

The Companion Caregiver role is onsite in Deltona, FL. Pay is $16 per hour. The caregiver supports a young man with intellectual and developmental disabilities with supervision and transportation for community outings, including social activities related to fitness and sports. The role promotes safety, communication, choice, independence, and socialization through support at home and in the community. The schedule is Sunday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, Wednesday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM.

What you'll do

• Encourage and support home activities
• assist with personal hygiene
• prepare meals and perform light cleaning
• maintain a safe living environment
• accompany the individual to social events, grocery shopping, appointments, and other community outings
• promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• complete daily progress notes.
