The yard jockey moves trailers and containers around the facility so dock doors remain supplied, the yard stays organized, and trailer locations are recorded accurately. This work supports timely inbound and outbound freight flow.

What you'll do

• Move trailers and containers throughout the facility yard
• keep dock doors supplied on schedule
• organize the yard and accurately record trailer locations
• use handheld scanners, tablets, or a yard management system and two-way radio
• perform routine mechanical and quality inspections
• follow safety instructions and communicate with management and peers.
