Water Aerobics Instructor

The Water Aerobics Instructor role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, and pays $25–$35 per hour. The part-time instructor must teach at least two regularly scheduled classes per week under the supervision of the Aquatics Director. The role delivers safe, effective, and engaging group exercise classes, adapting movements to participants’ abilities and fitness levels. It also supports a safe aquatic environment, follows emergency procedures, and responds to pool-area injuries or illness, with backup support to lifeguards as needed.

What you'll do

• Teach at least two regularly scheduled water aerobics classes per week
• lead safe, age-appropriate workouts with warm-up, cardiovascular endurance, cool down, strength, and flexibility
• modify exercises for different abilities
• maintain a clear workout area and clean and organize equipment
• follow safety and emergency procedures
• respond to pool-area injuries, accidents, or illness and provide lifeguard backup as needed
• maintain required certifications.
