International Shipping Clerk

The International Shipping Clerk role is onsite in Chesterton, IN. Starting pay is $23.08 per hour. The clerk joins Urschel’s Customer Service team at its global headquarters, where employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries. The role coordinates international and domestic shipment arrangements and prepares customs documentation so shipments can be booked, approved, and accompanied by the required paperwork. It also responds to shipping-related requests from customers, offices, agents, and freight forwarders.

What you'll do

• Process airfreight and sea freight shipments
• prepare customs shipping documents
• contact forwarders for booking numbers
• complete courier bookings and provide customs documents to the shipping department
• send shipment details to customers for approval
• book truck shipments and create labels in the TMS
• respond to shipping-related email requests.
