The Construction Craft Apprentice I — Field Services role is an onsite position based in Grantsville, MD, with field work at industrial locations. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. Beitzel Corporation’s two-year apprenticeship combines classroom instruction with hands-on field experience across construction and industrial services. The apprentice develops foundational skilled-trade capabilities while assisting experienced tradespeople on varied projects. The program’s training and field assignments build exposure to construction, concrete, electrical, millwright, excavation, solar, and other industrial services, preparing apprentices to pursue a trade path suited to their skills and interests.

What you'll do

• Perform general labor on projects involving concrete, rebar, masonry, welding, pipefitting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical work, rigging, excavation, ditching, and trenching
• learn to read blueprints and drawings
• learn safe use of hand and power tools
• learn to calibrate and read measurement tools
• learn job-site layouts and transit setup
• learn to operate small equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, and mini excavators
• attend scheduled apprenticeship classes and keep current with course material.
