The Dedicated-Site HVAC-R Technician role is an onsite position at a dedicated client location in McLean, VA. Pay is $40–$50 per hour, based on experience. RJH Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service has provided service and technical expertise to clients throughout the DC Metro area for more than 25 years. The technician maintains and repairs commercial refrigeration and food service equipment, helping keep facility systems operating reliably. Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, compliant refrigerant handling, and clear service documentation support the client site and the company’s service commitments.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain commercial refrigeration and food service equipment
• complete preventive maintenance and identify electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration problems
• service walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, cooking equipment, dish machines, hoods, warming and cooling equipment, and dispensers
• handle minor plumbing and foodservice equipment repairs
• recover, handle, and dispose of refrigerants in compliance with regulations
• document service work and communicate findings and recommendations
• guide and mentor an apprentice if needed.

Why this role

40+ hours weekly; shifts available 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Minimum four years of refrigeration and commercial food equipment service experience and EPA certification are required. Journeyman and CFESA certifications are preferred or a plus.
