Calender Mill Operator

Job overview

The Calender Mill Operator role is onsite in Auburn, PA, Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight; weekend overtime may be needed. Compensation is $24–$26.32 per hour. SURTECO produces laminates, foils, and vinyl-coated fabrics for a range of markets. The operator runs the extruder and mill to supply material to the calender line, following safety and quality procedures while supporting production, equipment readiness, and the crew’s output goals.

What you'll do

• Use mill and calender safety equipment and required PPE
• follow emergency procedures
• start up and shut down the mill, extruder, and strainer
• complete head and technical changes
• adjust and clean machines
• monitor oil and fluid levels, temperature, and feed rate
• maintain housekeeping
• rework trim
• assist with calender functions and line start-ups
• record scrap and required production information
• report quality, equipment, and task issues
• train and assist others as needed
• operate a forklift when necessary
• support quality records and reports.
