Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Yonkers, NY, supporting the agency’s campus buildings, offsite locations, equipment, and grounds. The hourly pay range is $22–$25. The technician performs routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and work orders to keep facilities safe, clean, and operational. The schedule listed is Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; the role may also provide after-hours support as needed.

What you'll do

• Perform building, grounds, and equipment maintenance and repairs
• complete work orders involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor electrical, lighting, HVAC support, locks, doors, and flooring
• conduct inspections and report hazards
• support fire safety readiness
• assist with grounds upkeep and seasonal snow and storm work
• set up rooms and equipment
• travel to offsite facilities for repairs and inspections
• update computerized work orders
• and assist vendors and contractors.
