What you'll do

• Run end-to-end payroll for multiple businesses on weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly schedules
• collect and verify hours, employee changes, bonuses, and commissions
• calculate deductions, garnishments, PTO accruals, and benefit withholdings
• review payroll registers and resolve discrepancies
• withhold, file, and pay payroll taxes and complete quarterly and year-end filings
• answer employee and manager questions
• reconcile payroll to the general ledger and prepare accounting entries or reports
• support audits, workers’ compensation reviews, and year-end close
• document procedures and checklists
• identify errors and risks and propose fixes
• help evaluate, set up, or migrate payroll and HR systems
• onboard new businesses to payroll processes
• partner with HR, accounting, and local managers.

Why this role

Requires three or more years of hands-on payroll processing, knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax rules, wage and hour law, and garnishments, experience with a major payroll platform, and strong Excel skills. FPC or CPP certification is a plus.
