Music Therapist – Hospice

What you'll do

• Assess referred hospice patients and provide individualized music therapy services to patients and families
• develop individualized music therapy plans of care
• use creative therapeutic activities to improve or maintain function and quality of life
• implement interventions in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care
• direct legacy projects and guide care team members in using music toward care goals
• document services
• provide in-services and support bereavement activities as needed and appropriate
• participate in on-call rotation.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in music therapy and educational eligibility for certification from the Certification Board of Music Therapist. Previous experience with terminally ill patients is highly desirable.
