The Bilingual Substance Use Counselor — Woodburn Outpatient role is onsite in Woodburn, OR, with pay of $24.99–$28.97 per hour. Bridgeway Community Health’s mission includes helping community members affected by addiction, problem gambling, and psychiatric illness; this position is at its new Woodburn outpatient office. The counselor provides client-centered, evidence-based and trauma-informed support to help clients engage in services, pursue treatment and recovery goals, and reduce harms associated with substance use. Assessment, individual counseling, group facilitation, and coordination with other providers contribute to connected care.

What you'll do

• Provide client-centered, evidence-based, trauma-informed services and use motivational interviewing to build rapport and support engagement. Conduct assessments using ASAM and DSM-5
• provide therapeutic interventions, facilitate evidence-based groups, and conduct individual counseling. Coordinate with other providers, maintain timely client documentation and monthly status reports, and monitor random urinalysis testing.

Why this role

Bilingual; associate’s degree or higher in Human Services or a related field and CADC I certification or higher with MHACBO required. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to a successful new external candidate. Spanish/English bilingual employees who pass the Alta Language Test may receive an additional stipend.
