What you'll do

• Manage patient flow and prepare patients for examinations
• assess vital signs, symptoms, history, allergies, medications, and results
• develop and implement patient education plans
• obtain informed consent and releases
• assist with examinations and procedures
• provide emotional support
• assess and refer patients for support services
• administer ordered medications and observe for reactions
• assess patient status by telephone
• authorize medication refills under orders or protocols
• assist other departments or sites as directed.
