The Registered Nurse, Community Clinic role is onsite in Omaha, NE, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM and a few Saturdays for special community events; there are no on-call shifts. The nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to assess and support patients with health maintenance needs, illnesses, injuries, or disabilities. The role includes examinations, triage, patient education, phone guidance, electronic health record documentation, and participation in quality, safety, infection control, and planning activities.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• conduct physical examinations
• educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance
• answer patient questions by phone
• triage patients in person or by phone
• educate patients and families about diagnoses, tests, medications, and care plans
• document medical information in the electronic health record
• maintain an active registered nurse license
• participate in quality improvement, safety, infection control, peer review, and regulatory compliance.
