The Cook role is onsite in New Paltz, NY, with compensation of $17.25–$18.25 per hour. New Paltz Center is a 77-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility focused on resident quality of life, dignity, and independence. The cook prepares and serves food for residents, including therapeutic food preparation, and supports meal service on the tray line. The role also includes kitchen cleanup and may involve managing the kitchen when the food service director is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods
• bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies
• work on the tray line during meal service
• clean the kitchen
• wash and sanitize pots and pans
• may manage the kitchen in the food service director’s absence.
