What you'll do

• Prepare financial admission documents, obtain signatures and payment information, and process payments
• explain insurance benefits, private-pay options, payment plans, and step-down processes
• prepare estimates and calculate payments
• handle hardship inquiries and escalated billing questions, routing requests for authorization
• coordinate extension documentation with case management
• maintain patient accounts and documentation in the EMR and produce weekly status reports
• collaborate with admissions, case management, clinical, and collections teams. Schedule is anticipated to be 2–3 days per week, as needed.
