Community Engagement Coach

Job overview

The Community Engagement Coach role is onsite in Silver Spring, MD, with compensation of $20 per hour plus benefits. The position supports SEEC’s Community Engagement Team, which helps people with developmental disabilities pursue individualized educational, recreational, fitness, social, and employment activities in the community. The coach implements person-centered plans and provides individualized support so participants can pursue their goals, build community connections, and take part in meaningful daily activities.

What you'll do

• Implement Person Centered Plans
• help participants create and follow monthly schedules for employment, learning, volunteering, recreation, and enrichment
• provide individualized personal care, behavioral, safety, and transportation support as needed
• document progress and schedule changes
• communicate with colleagues, management, families, and caregivers
• assist with researching and applying for employment and recreational opportunities.

Why this role

Requires at least one year of experience supporting people in achieving personal goals or comparable community-engagement experience. Must be willing to travel among locations throughout Montgomery County as a floater; personal vehicle is strongly preferred.
