Group Leader – Afterschool Program

The Group Leader – Afterschool Program role is onsite in New York, NY, with a stated schedule of Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, up to 20 hours per week. Compensation is $18 per hour in the posting. The Group Leader supervises K–8 participants and facilitates a safe, structured environment for academic enrichment, recreation, and youth development. What you'll do

• Supervise participants throughout program operations, including off-site trips
• assist with participant pickup and delivery as assigned
• provide homework assistance
• plan and facilitate academic enrichment and recreation activities
• prepare lesson plans and activity spaces
• support teachers and specialists
• maintain a safe, organized environment
• use positive youth development and behavior-management practices
• attend assigned meetings and training
• follow program safety and reporting procedures.
