The Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Step-Down/Intermediate Care works onsite in Beloit, WI. Pay is $36.40–$57.04 per hour. The role is based in Beloit Health System’s Cardiac Stepdown Unit/Intermediate Care at Beloit Memorial Hospital. The RN provides and coordinates care for patients transitioning from intensive cardiac care who need close monitoring and advanced assessment. The nurse interprets cardiac telemetry, responds to changes in condition, and collaborates with the care team to support patient outcomes.

What you'll do

• Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs
• plan, coordinate, supervise, and provide patient care
• care for patients with complex conditions including cardiac rhythm disturbances, cerebrovascular accidents, and peritoneal dialysis
• evaluate outcomes of nursing interventions and medical therapies
• educate patients and families
• follow infection-control policies
• participate in quality improvement
• document care
• prioritize care by acuity
• interpret cardiac telemetry every four hours and respond to changes
• protect patient safety during medication handling and care.
