Jail Diversion Liaison

By managing screening, court compliance, records, and hearing logistics, the role supports diversion from incarceration into appropriate services.

What you'll do

• Conduct and coordinate screening evaluations
• review referrals for program eligibility using clinical, legal, and risk criteria
• collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and jail medical and mental health staff
• review criminal background checks and case histories
• maintain confidential records in compliance with privacy requirements
• track court orders and deadlines
• liaise with courts, attorneys, probation, and treatment providers
• prepare status reports and compliance updates
• maintain hearing calendars and attend hearings as needed
• coordinate transportation with Sarasota County jail
• maintain case files and program data
• participate in interagency meetings and case conferences.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, 2+ years in behavioral health, case management, or diversion services, and familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and CJIS.
