What you'll do

• Assist with all procedures performed in the Interventional Suite.
• Demonstrate proficiency with all equipment within the Interventional Suite procedure room including but not limited to: Fluoroscopy, Pan Table, Med Rad injector, Monitors, Ultrasound Unit, Control panels for digital acquisition and image transfer.
• Demonstrate understanding of supplies used for specified procedure.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Renal, Neuro, Peripheral and Vascular anatomy.
• Demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate and maintain sterile field while performing scrub position.
• Prepare patient and room for exams while managing wires and other multiple components required for procedure.
• Perform role of circulator during procedure including: pull supplies, altering technique as phase of exam requires, man and operate injector, communicate to patient family/unit progress, and answer physician calls/pages during procedure.
• Provide patient care throughout procedure while explaining the procedure to patient and ensure understanding.
• Ensures patient safety throughout exam.
• Adhere to Standard Precautions or Isolation precaution appropriate for patient.
• Performs other assigned duties to ensure optimal department function.

Experience

Associate Degree or graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology Program (ARRT); 2-years Radiology Tech experience in an acute setting; 1-2 years’ experience as an Interventional Technologist
